About Verites
Verites, a fragrance brand from Vietnam, blends scents inspired by renowned fragrances like Le Labo, Dior, Burberry, using a minimalist design to maximize olfactory investment—ideal daily accessories for every individual.
Throughout the years, Verites, initially prioritizing product quality over branding,
aims to elevate its brand through a transformative event in this project.
Verites reaches their goal
Verites reached out to me in early October. My first impressions were that they possessed a clear vision for their goals. They emphasized that this project would serve as a vibrant enhancement to their brand, bring about a visual transformation, act as the primary visual for social media, and serve as the focal point for the event.
After this project, it became essential for the brand to have a significant story behind each product,
rather than just a perfume.
VERITES | Before - After the campaign

The Concept
A lovelorn girl relaxes in Da Lat city, reflecting on her past relationship. Recognizing the need for new experiences, she ventures to Saigon, where she feels liberated but struggles to connect with her emotions. Upon returning to her Hanoi hometown a few days later, she found her true love.
We spent hours of meeting to agree on what the motion should look like, moving towards the goal of transforming a sheet of brief into a charming story with seamless motion.

The challenges
The hardest thing to overcome was identifying the layers of objects. In addition, the artwork was so stunning that the animation couldn’t make any mistakes. Therefore, you can see the motion sketch as follows as the result of our meetings.
Technical skills
Puppet was the most interesting thing to execute in the project. With Puppet, I had the chance to learn and study deeper of how things actually move within the wind.

Loopout is most used by motion graphic designers when showcasing their projects,
and this was the first time I applied in this case. Loopout prompt really opened up space
for me to learn more in After Effects.
​
Additionally, to calculate the motion order & loop was one of the challenges I faced.
The goal was to have all the motions as natural & smooth as possible.
Applying 12 motion principles
One highlight motion here was to follow the 12 motion principles - Secondary Action.
The frame couldn’t have only one object to move. So we need to have supporting motions to add in context for the main object.
Shout out
After a long journey of endless learning & material findings, we were officially able to publish the final version of the project.

With such a large scale event, we tried to polish our motions as much as possible.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Verites, for reaching out and giving me the opportunity to showcase my artwork at this event. I am truly delighted and grateful for this.

Along with Luong, as artists, seeing my brainchild being displayed, I feel immensely proud and happy. That joy is multiplied when I know that the artwork is well-received and appreciated by everyone.
